- ➤ Worcester Public Schools superintendent Rachel Monárrez announced in a letter on April 17 that she will resign at the end of June to take a superintendent job in California—she had two years left on her contract and said the move is a personal decision to be closer to her family. - ➤ Massport announced that a 20-megawatt solar field will be built on 44 acres on the Leicester side of Worcester Regional Airport and will generate 22.3 million kilowatt hours of clean energy.
