About this event
Taverns had always been the hub of communication in society, but during the American Revolution they played an enormous role. Groups met there to get information and hear the latest news. Loyalists had their favorite gathering places, as did the Colonials. Spies passed secrets.
Come hear Joseph Adelman, Professor of History at Framingham State University, talk about how taverns influenced the outcome of the Revolution. Sibley House, 13 Parkman Street, Westborough. The program is free and open to all.
