- ➤ T&G Santa purchased toys for nearly 10,000 children in need on Tuesday, Dec. 16, with donations from readers, local businesses, and civic organizations. The program involved support from 20 partner groups, including United Way, to brighten holidays in our community. Telegram & Gazette
- ➤ Elizabeth 'Betty' Turcotte, a 94-year-old Holden resident, recalls receiving a chocolate Santa, a doll, and writing paper during her hospital stay at UMass Memorial Medical Center (Memorial on Belmont Street) when she was 7, and she now makes annual donations to T&G Santa in thanks. - ➤ Express bus service Link413 linking Pioneer Valley with Berkshire County will begin next month as part of a $10 million transit improvement initiative funded by MassDOT. The service includes two express routes connecting Pittsfield with Northampton and North Adams with Greenfield. MassLive
