  • Hundreds gathered on Oct. 11 at the Scandinavian Athletic Club in Shrewsbury to honor Kevin Doherty, who was fatally shot on Aug. 28 after he confronted someone spray painting near Jordan Pond. The fundraiser—featuring silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and the sale of 'Shrewsbury Strong' hoodies—raised money for his fiancee Sarah Schofield and her family, while a suspect is set for a hearing on Nov. 6.  Telegram & Gazette
