- ➤ On Saturday, August 30, local college teams competed in volleyball, soccer, field hockey and cross-country events with WPI women’s volleyball sweeping its matches in Waltham — Zeala VanDamme and Lauren Boycourt led the win, helping the Engineers improve to a 2–1 record. Other contests saw strong showings from Worcester State, Fitchburg State and additional schools as key players and individual winners emerged in races and field hockey games across the region.
