CRIME NEWS

  • Worcester officials investigated an officer-involved shooting on Friday morning on Strathmore Road when detectives serving an arrest warrant for 23-year-old Chris Betances saw him flee in his vehicle and a Deputy U.S. Marshal shot him for safety—officers then provided aid, took him to a local hospital where his condition remains stable, and he was arraigned without bail with a court return set for Aug. 29.  MassLive
