ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Monday afternoon in Worcester, a truck used for hauling dumpsters flipped when its raised dumpster retrieval arm hit the right side of a railroad bridge shortly before 1 p.m. and the driver was rushed to a hospital while crews confirmed the bridge sustained only minor damage (investigators are checking if a medical emergency contributed to the crash).  7 News Boston

HEALTH NEWS

  • UMass Chan faculty, residents, staff and students received 11 grants totaling $164,410 to launch projects that offer free eye care, CPR education, home blood pressure monitoring, and more to overcome barriers to health access in Worcester (the fund was created in 2015 with a $3 million Remillard Family Foundation donation).  UMass Chan Medical School
