  • After ICE agents arrested Rosane Ferreira-de Oliveira on May 8 in Worcester and the state took charge of her daughters, local authorities have been searching for her missing 13-year-old daughter last seen on July 20. A Philadelphia woman who drove the teenager on July 27 recognized her from a missing child alert—officials now work with Pennsylvania and New Jersey agencies to review travel details and confirm her location.  MassLive

  • Pitching prospect Payton Tolle was promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday and will make his debut today at Polar Park. He is inspired by Tom Selleck—Tolle said the actor influenced his new mustache look.  Telegram & Gazette
  • On Saturday, Aug. 9, the Bravehearts edged the Bees 4 to 3 at Fitton Field as A.J. Hamm hit a two-run triple in the seventh inning and Jamison Howland added a key run; they will face the Norwich Sea Unicorns in a best-of-three series starting at 5 p.m. today. At Fitton Field in another contest, Waterford won 4 to 0 over Greece with Martin Light pitching a two-hitter and will play Shrewsbury in an elimination game at 10 a.m. today.  Telegram & Gazette
