Good morning, Worcester.
John P. Harty Sr. built a giant cross at 33 Harty Road nearly 40 years ago after hearing a prayer instruction, and his granddaughter Amy Grandone now cares for the site that welcomes visitors daily for its healing well water (and religious letters seen from high above).

Letters to the editor warn that federal cuts to MassHealth could strip coverage from up to 300,000 residents and call for bill S980 to update condo laws, while also questioning the safety of Diquat herbicide used at Indian Lake—experts say city actions have improved fish habitat.
A separate letter pays tribute to longtime radio volunteer Paul Lauzon, who died on May 17 at age 84.
UMass Chan postdoctoral fellow Tara Delorme, PhD, received an award of $110,000 from the Fonds de recherche du Québec-Santé for her research using advanced sequencing techniques to study how brain gene rhythms affect opioid addiction.
