CRIME NEWS

  • Police arrested Thomas Marnalse, a 61-year-old from Worcester, on July 19 (at 9 a.m.) when officers responded to a break-in at a vacant house on Ericsson St. (a loud crash led them to find a shattered glass patio door) and he now faces charges of breaking and entering to commit a felony and larceny from a building.  This Week in Worcester

CULTURE NEWS

  • Preservation Worcester released its annual Most Endangered Structures List that shows threats to sites ranging from the city’s 27 gas streetlamps to historic houses such as the Martin and Mary Tunney House at 139 Vernon St built in 1916—many of these buildings suffer from severe deferred maintenance and financial troubles.
