- ➤ Community leaders celebrated six years of fare-free bus service as the Zero Fare Coalition hosted a celebration Tuesday at Union Station. The WRTA began fare-free service in 2020 during the COVID pandemic—ridership has since soared—and fares will be extended until at least June 2026. Spectrum News 1
- ➤ A summer camp at Auburn Middle School has changed its schedule so kids play indoors more often and get freeze pops (with electrolytes) to stay cool during the hot weather. The camp runs through August 15 and offers full-day, half-day, or week-long sessions. Spectrum News 1

- ➤ This summer, Worcester offers many cultural events including online activities, museum exhibits at the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, arts and craft and fine food markets on High Street, and a local festival running from August 9th to 25th. - ➤ Two WPI professors, Corey Denenberg Dehner and Paul Mathisen, received the MassDEP Educator Award for their decade-long work with WPI students on water resource projects — the center they co-founded in 2015 now partners with local groups to tackle issues like lead and PFAS.
