- ➤ Worcester police arrested 26-year-old Antonio Canales-Martinez on charges of armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a firearm, aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling after shots were fired on Southgate Street at 7:40 p.m. Saturday that left a man dead—and he is set to be arraigned today in Central District Court as the second homicide in less than a week in the city. - ➤ The ruins at Rutland Prison Camp in Rutland State Park were built in 1903 to house minor offenders on a working farm and were abandoned in 1934 due to the Quabbin project.
