  • Worcester friends and coworkers remember 25-year-old Priscilla Mafalda, who was killed Friday in a chain reaction crash in Virginia that injured dozens (including her husband).  7 News Boston

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Twenty-five students at UMass Chan Medical School received their stoles on May 29 at the Deborah Harmon Hines, PhD, Commencement Celebration in Worcester. The ceremony celebrated Dr. Hines' mentorship and honored the graduates' hopes for the future.  UMass Chan Medical School
  • UMass Chan held its commencement on Sunday, May 31, awarding over 270 degrees and featuring a keynote from philanthropist Gerald Chan who urged graduates to pursue inspired altruism in their careers + Chancellor Collins, in his final address, stressed the balance between technology and humanity as vital in modern medicine.  UMass Chan Medical School

  • New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, his wife Ann Michael Maye, teammates and celebrity guests took part in the inaugural MayeDay Family Foundation Celebrity Softball Classic at Polar Park on Sunday to support Boston Children’s Hospital, with a home run derby, activities for families and postgame festivities planned.  7 News Boston
