  • A boat ramp at Browning Pond in Spencer became public property after Scouting America sold its 12 acres of waterfront to the Department of Fish and Game last week.   • WPI researcher Jiawei Yang is creating a new glue that will help attach medical implants to body tissue safely.   • UMass Chan cancer biologist Pranoti Mandrekar, PhD explained that even small amounts of alcohol harm the body and raise cancer risk by damaging DNA — a process affecting many organs.
