  • Greater Good Imperial Brewing in Worcester has launched Baby Daddy IPA, a limited-time low-alcohol beer made by blending a pale ale with a non-alcoholic beer available at its taproom under new creative flexibility from Barrel One Collective.  MassLive

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Worcester Public Schools have had five snow days in 2026 due to major storms and are adjusting schedules; classes resumed Wednesday with the final day planned for Monday, June 22, though up to six extra days may be added if needed.  Telegram & Gazette

  • Councilor Gary Rosen requested a report from the city solicitor to see if the Board of Health can investigate Saint Vincent Hospital over years of staffing and safety complaints + the measure passed 9-1 on Feb. 25 and could lead to closer oversight of the hospital's practices.  Telegram & Gazette
  • Worcester City Council voted 9 to 1 on an order for a report to see if the board of health can investigate complaints about understaffing and safety issues at St. Vincent Hospital after it faced 14 federal labor law violations and three state health department probes.  MassLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • Researchers at UMass Chan Medical School are testing an AI risk assessment tool that uses mammograms to flag women at higher breast cancer risk — early trials found four cancers using targeted MRIs. The study is supported by MIT and state grants.  UMass Chan Medical School

  • Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony has been named the team’s leadoff hitter and ranked seventh among top corner outfielders for the 2026 season. He played 71 rookie games and will leave spring training early to join Team USA in the World Baseball Classic (Fort Myers).  MassLive
  • Red Sox prospect Mikey Romero added 12 pounds in the offseason on a disciplined diet and workouts, with his manager Alex Cora noting his aim to become a better defender. Promoted to Triple-A Worcester last Aug. 1, Romero plans to improve his lateral movement at second base during spring training.  MassLive
  • During Tuesday's game, Celtics guard Jordan Walsh was benched after his challenge request for a foul call (upheld on video review) led to his replacement by Ron Harper Jr. as Boston secured a 97-81 win over the Suns; coach Joe Mazzulla said the decision was not linked to the failed challenge.  MassLive
  • The Bruins remain uncertain if defenseman Charlie McAvoy and goalie Jeremy Swayman will join today's game as their return from Team USA has been delayed by weather and travel issues—Coach Marco Sturm said he cannot confirm their arrival.  MassLive
