  • Worcester vinegar maker Vargas is raising $1.5M for new facilities as his craft-made vinegar gains national interest — its products now appear on grocery shelves and the planned expansion will boost production capacity.  Worcester Business Journal

  • Dine Out Boston’s winter edition offers nearly 200 restaurants with discounted prix fixe menus and showcases 17 first-time spots, including Alma Gaucha Worcester at 526 Main St. The culinary event began Sunday and will run through Saturday, March 7, offering options for dine-in+takeout.  MassLive

FINANCE NEWS

  • Integrated Pension Services acquired Worcester-based BDS Consulting Group to expand its scale by about 50% (including all client relationships and staff). BDS founder Jill Whittredge will support the transition as the firm retains its branding until it rebrands to IPS within 12 months.  Worcester Business Journal

  • Assabet's Alex Wellburn received 197 votes in last week's Hometeam Hockey Player of the Week poll, beating Grafton's Emerson Petrie with 174 votes and Giana Samalis with 116 votes based on coaches' reports.  Telegram & Gazette
