- ➤ Amy Peterson was named general manager of DCU Center in Worcester in January. She will oversee day-to-day management of the 14,000-seat arena that welcomed 514,174 attendees in 2024 and hosts major events including concerts, expos, and sports games. Worcester Business Journal

- ➤ Worcester officials could soon use a little-used state law to offer small businesses relief from some of the highest property taxes, with only 14 communities—including Auburn and Berlin—having adopted this exemption. - ➤ UMass Chan hosted its 38th MLK tribute on Monday, Jan. 26 with keynote speaker Jennifer Bradford, MD, stressing service through advocacy and connection.
