- ➤ Worcester-based insurance tech firm Xceedance acquired Chicago company Marble Box, marking its entry into the agent and broker market. Worcester Business Journal
- ➤ Amy Peterson was named general manager of DCU Center in Worcester in January. She will oversee day-to-day management of the 14,000-seat arena that welcomed 514,174 attendees in 2024 and hosts major events including concerts, expos, and sports games. Worcester Business Journal

- ➤ Worcester officials could soon use a little-used state law to offer small businesses relief from some of the highest property taxes, with only 14 communities—including Auburn and Berlin—having adopted this exemption.
