- ➤ Residents rushed to local supermarkets on Friday to stock up on food and supplies ahead of a forecast predicting up to 18 inches of snow Sunday and Monday, leaving shelves nearly empty of milk and bread. Telegram & Gazette

- ➤ MBI, a Worcester based life sciences incubator operating at 95% capacity, added Roper Thermals and Proper Stagg Environmental Group in the fourth quarter to its cohort; it also launched a BioHub with Worcester Polytechnic Institute and regional partners to boost biotech growth. - ➤ A Bahraini firm purchased the distribution site used by Wachusett Chip in Sterling for $10.6 million on Jan. 12. The deal was part of a nine-property acquisition (Investcorp led the deal). Worcester Business Journal
- ➤ Amazon signed a lease on Jan. 23 for a 450,000 sqft warehouse at Campanelli Business Park in Uxbridge. The retailer will use the facility as part of its growing network in Central Massachusetts (adding to several existing centers nearby). Telegram & Gazette
- ➤ Square Robot, a Westborough-based firm that builds robots for safely inspecting storage tanks across industries, raised $7.5M in a Series B extension in December. The funding capped its 2025 expansion efforts and was part of a $13.5M overall round. Worcester Business Journal
