About this event

This adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol was selected by the Playwrights' Center of Minneapolis. What happened to Ebenezer Scrooge after the immortal Christmas Day? It seems he married and had a son, who had a son, who moved to America and had a daughter, who is the leading lady of this play. The story follows Ernestina Scrooge, the cold-hearted and miserly great-granddaughter of Ebenezer Scrooge, who runs the family's loan company office. Much like her ancestor, Ernestina is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of Ebenezer Scrooge along with the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who guide her through a path of redemption.

The cast consists of: Sarah Tonkin, Nathan Goulart-Pasco, Jonathan Martin, Emily Betty, Greta Thompson, Jim Douglas, Mikaila Baca-Dorion, Hannah Bilis, Lillian Benoit, Maritza "Mari"Cordero, Chris McTigue, Lucas Betty, Evelyn "Evie" Alesbrook, Lola Rabitor, Lynn Boucher, Reilly Ireland, Linda Bouthillier, Peter Cooper, Tiffany Betty.

Performance dates are December 4 and 5 at 7:30pm, and December 6 at 2:00pm. The performances are held at Fellowship Hall of Elm Street Congregational Church, 61 Elm Street in Southbridge, MA. Entrance is on Park Street (around the corner). Directed by Lou-Ellen Corkum and Alex Gardner, and produced by Stephanie Ruggiere. Presented by permission from Dramatic Publishing.
